Our Story
In 2002, Options Commerce Classes was founded by Mr. Partha Guha and Ms. Babita Prasad, both distinguished educators in the field of commerce. What began as a humble initiative has since blossomed into a renowned center of excellence, earning its reputation for shaping the future of commerce students. With a legacy rooted in passion and dedication, the center has journeyed through the years, continually setting new benchmarks in commerce education, nurturing countless young minds to achieve academic success and beyond.
Ms. Babita Prasad
A seasoned educator with a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of North Bengal, has dedicated nearly 25 years to teaching undergraduate students in the field of Commerce. Her extensive experience spans several prestigious institutions, including Darjeeling’s Saint Joseph’s College, Kalipada Ghosh Tarai Mahavidyalaya in Bagdogra, and Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya in Siliguri. For over a decade, she has been a valued faculty member at Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya.
Ms. Prasad’s expertise lies in accounting and taxation, areas in which she has consistently demonstrated excellence. At Options Commerce Classes, she imparts her knowledge in various subjects, including Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, and both Direct and Indirect Taxation. Her commitment to education and her passion for her subjects have made her a respected figure in the academic community.
Ms. Babita Prasad is not only an educator but also a committed social worker. Her dedication to community service earned her the prestigious Presidential Award as an NSS officer in 2021, a testament to her leadership and compassion. Beyond the classroom, Ms. Prasad’s contributions to society have made a significant impact, further enhancing her reputation as a well-rounded and respected figure both in academia and in the community.
Mr. Partha Guha
Mr. Partha Guha is a highly accomplished academic and entrepreneur, holding an M.Com from the University of North Bengal, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), and a CMA designation from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. With a diverse and rich experience across multiple industries, Mr. Guha brings a unique blend of practical and theoretical knowledge to his teaching.
His teaching journey includes positions at prestigious institutions such as the University of North Bengal, Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya, and Siliguri College of Commerce, where he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence in education.
At Options Commerce Classes, Mr. Guha specializes in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research and economics, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. In addition to his subject expertise, he also conducts sessions focused on student self-improvement and theoretical subjects, guiding students not just academically but also in their personal development. His multifaceted approach to education has made him a respected and inspiring figure in the academic community.
